Questions? Contact our Nursery Coordinator and Interim Children and Family Minister Coordinator, Lora Murtha.
Our nursery is staffed to provide a safe, loving, and nurturing environment for our little ones while you participate in worship and Spiritual Growth Hour. Nursery is available every Sunday.
Children will worship together through age appropriate biblical teaching, songs, crafts, and other activities. Children will meet the Children's Church volunteers in the back of the Sanctuary before the sermon, and rejoin their families during the closing song.
Children will study the stories of the Bible together each week through video, crafts, and stories in small groups (preK - 2nd grade and 3rd-6th grades).
We are excited to welcome our children and youth back into in-person programming each Sunday and Wednesday. In light of our current COVID-19 numbers, we have implemented some building-wide safety precautions to best protect the youngest and vulnerable among us:
- everyone age 2+ must wear a face mask while in the building
- all children and children's volunteers will be temperature screened before checking into their programs
- all youth and youth volunteers will be screened for COVID-like symptoms before checking into their programs
- if your child is sick or experiencing COVID-like symptoms, please keep them at home
- volunteers must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19

Believe: this is where the foundation of Christian faith begins. Children are encouraged to wonder, ask questions, and growth through teaching and healthy relationships with their peers and trusted adults.
Become: lives are transformed through the power of the Holy Spirit and children catch a vision to become world changers for Christ.

When we began online worship services, the Little P's (our Children's Ministry puppet troupe) were formed. The Little P's bring fun that's fit for kids and enjoyed by all ages to our worship services. Recently the Little P's have joined with the team at Farnsworth Aerospace Magnet School to bring fun-filled reading, puppet style, into the classroom.
Check out the Little P's greatest hits below. More coming soon!
We are fortunate to have one of our fantastic children's volunteers also have an alter ego - a clown named Jasper!
During the winter of 2021 Jasper brought us the "Joy of Balloon Art."
Check out Jasper's balloon instructional videos below.
Ministry is maximized by our volunteers. We love our volunteers and value the impact they make in the lives of our children. First Covenant’s Children and Family Ministry believes in equipping and empowering our volunteers to serve, love, and care for our children.
We do this by:
- Maintaining a safe adult to child ratio in our programs.
- Enforcing safe bathroom and safety procedures.
- Ensuring that our volunteers are trained and have successfully passed background checks before serving.
