Adult Ministries

join us this fall

This fall we have opportunities to grow together as we study the Bible and learn in community. If you have questions about Adult Spiritual Formation opportunities, please contact Pastor Mike Hotz, Pastor of Community Life.

  • This is a study for folks who:

    • know very little about the Bible, want to start reading it but don't know how to begin
    • have a lot of experience reading the Bible and want to continue learning and growing
    • grew up reading the Bible but these days Bible reading leads to more questions (and frustrations) than answers
Author Meghan Larissa Good has an incredible ability to offer insights and expertise related to how we approach Scripture, in a way that is approachable and, dare we say, enjoyable. Ultimately she wants us to read Scripture for the purpose of transformation, in a flourishing Christ-centered life. Wherever you are on the journey of faith, this study has something for you. Seriously.

Led by Pastor Anne, Pastor Mike, and Kate Makosky. Check out our reading schedule here.
  • Dr. Rebekah Eklund literally wrote the book on the Beatitudes: The Beatitudes Through The Ages. Dr. Eklund will join us via Zoom as we begin our journey through the Beatitudes together. Dr. Eklund is currently an associate professor of theology at Loyola University, and was previously the associate pastor at Bethlehem Covenant Church in Minneapolis. Bring your questions for an engaging hour together!

  • We are back and in person! Join us as we grow in faith and friendship together as we study the Beatitudes from the Gospel of Matthew together.

  • We'll hear from Aaron and Becky Bryant about their 3.5 years in Paraguay (and their plans going forward), Covenant World Relief updates, Team World Vision updates from our marathon runners and the Covenant missions taking place in Gemena and Karawa!

  • Twice a month we have a variety of options for adults to gather and grow in community. Little-to-no preparation needed, come as you are, and try out what fits best for you.

    Sermon Discussion
This fall our sermon series is focused on the Beatitudes. These are among the most influential teachings in human history. Join us as we unpack and discuss the sermon of the day and unpack these treasures together.

    Christian Mystic Reading Group
Over the ages there have been Christian mystics and sages who have penned words of wisdom that have helped people connect with the heart of God. During our time together we will read and discuss short writings by the likes of Thomas Merton, Henri Nouwen, Thomas Keating, and others. Come as you are and leave different and refreshed. Led by Joe Mann.
  • Discover easy, actionable steps in both our building and in our lives to care for creation.

  • Born in Saint Paul, Jim Bear Jacobs is a member of the Stockbridge-Munsee Mohican Nation, an American Indian tribe located in central Wisconsin. He is parish associate at Church of All Nations Presbyterian Church, a cultural facilitator, and founder/convener of "Healing Minnesota Stories," an initiative dedicated to creating events for healing and dialogue. We'll grow deeper together in our understanding of our broader community.
