Spring 2021 - at our core.

at our core.

This spring we are exploring our values at First Covenant. Our Leadership and Ministry teams have worked over the last year to define and refine our values. Values are the things at the core of our identity that form and shape our life together. They provide the guardrails for making decisions, and leading us forward as we live out our Identity, Mission, and Vision as Christ followers at First Covenant Church of Saint Paul. Each week in worship we will take a closer look at these values and how they shape our lives and guide us forward as Kingdom people on the East Side of Saint Paul.

Hennepin County Library and the Star and Tribune are encouraging places of worship, neighborhoods, workplaces, and others to participate in the Mary Ann Key Book Club as part of their effort to encourage conversations about systemic racism with the goal of cultivating a community of people who want to read, learn, talk and respond in collective acts against racism, while centering the experiences of marginalized communities.

Join Carolyn and Paul Lokensgard-Wallace as they facilitate the First Covenant community in a reading of

Caste: The Origins of our Discontents by Isabel Wilkerson who also wrote The Warmth of Other Suns: The Epic Story of America’s Great Migration. Caste is the story of the historical influence of hierarchy in our society, and is available at your local bookseller or local library. Questions? Contact Pastor Mike.
